Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Operations and working closely with the Regional Vice President of Sales, the Associate Vice President of Operations for our Interior BC Region is responsible for overseeing multi-branch operations within the Kamloops area. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the organization’s strategic objectives with the Regional Vice President of Operations.
Key skills for this position include experience in leading leaders, team development, and strong business acumen.
A day in the life
Lead and manage a team of branch managers, team leads and staff, providing guidance and support in areas of Auto Insurance, Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
Recruit, onboard and develop branch leaders.
Work with the regional VP of Operations/VP Sales to drive revenue results and growth through operational excellence, effective staffing, leadership development, etc.
Support branch leaders in achieving revenue results and ensure financial performance aligns with the divisional goal.
Hold branches accountable for meeting performance targets and staying within budget.
Implement talent development plans across all levels of roles within the branches.
Lead succession planning exercise and implement successions plans for key roles within the Region.
Implement and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
What you will bring to our team
Proven ability to lead and develop teams
Experience in managing operational teams, multi-branch or multi-site oversight an asset.
10 years of insurance experience with at least 4 years of sales leadership experience required
Level 2 Insurance License or greater
Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and drive operational performance.
Understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting.
Ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Proficiency in communication and conflict resolution.
Experience in developing and implementing customer-centric operational strategies.
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Salary Expectations -
The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $115,000.00, with the ability to earn a bonus based on performance. The base salary will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
