The Associate VP, Financial Planning and Analysis sets policy and practice for ensuring budgets are compiled and reviewed for Humana Military departments, taking into consideration actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated expenses and income. Maintains accurate spending records and establishes measures for budgetary control. Determines the system and processes to be used for analyzing and forecasting financial and other data to provide accurate and timely information for standard annual budget and forecasting processes leading to better strategic and operational decisions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Our Government Contract Requires US Citizenship for this position
- DoD Contract Experience (direct TRICARE experience preferred)
- 10 years Leadership experience in building reporting systems
- 4-year Business Degree
- Prior management experience
- Progressive leadership experience
- Ability to analyze and summarize reporting data and communicate results to all levels of the organization including the EC
- Ability to create labor saving processes through automation
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerApps
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent Interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:
Oversees TRICARE contract requirements involving TRICARE Encounter Data (TED) Records (health care costs) invoicing and collection, Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) invoicing and collection, contract funding level assessments, establishment and maintenance of Underwritten and Non-Underwritten bank accounts, and Enrollment Fee collection, distribution, and reconciliation. Indirect Expense Rate forecasting and actuals reporting, Disclosure Statement maintenance and compliance and Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) compliance are additional functional tasks. Analyzes and summarizes reporting data and communicates results to all levels of the organization including the EC. Manages the Budgeting function and the General Ledger, Cost and Contract accounting functions setting process and ensuring compliance. Interfaces with EC members to ensure reporting and analysis is being done in a productive way in order for proper operational decision to be made. Coordinates on strategic initiatives involving new business development financial results. Finally, overseeing general ledger activity through the recording of Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
