QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in wealth planning.
- Actively pursuing or holding a CFP, RFP, or PFP designation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
- Proficiency in financial planning software.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Ability to build rapport with clients, understand their unique needs, and provide personalized advice.
- In-depth knowledge of Canada’s economic and financial environment, current events, and legislative changes related to income tax and wealth transfer planning.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, take initiative, and think creatively
Responsibilities:
- Proactively understand client needs, anticipate their goals, and provide customized solutions.
- Gather detailed information, analyze client situations, and develop personalized plans, including retirement, estate, and tax planning.
- Support the team in providing financial planning and strategic wealth management services to affluent clients and family businesses.
- Prepare and review investment portfolios, and research tax and financial planning issues.
- Summarize analysis and recommendations on financial, estate, and tax planning.
- Review and integrate information from financial, investment, and insurance statements into client accounts.
- Ensure data compliance and integrity across systems, including customer relationship management and reporting.
- Work closely with team members to ensure seamless client service and support ongoing planning initiatives.
- Perform insurance needs analysis and model outcomes using financial planning tools.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory standards.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge through ongoing learning and development.
