POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Supervisor – Workforce Planning, this position supports our organization in its journey to becoming a Modern outcome-based regulator.
The Workforce Planning department is responsible for optimizing labour allocation to align with the inspection needs of the three (3) major Regulatory Programs administered by TSSA (Elevating, Amusement and Ski Program, Boilers and Pressure Vessels, Operating Engineers and the Fuels Program). It supports public safety by effectively and efficiently scheduling TSSA’s Inspection Workforce. As Associate, Workforce Planning you will liaise with internal and external customers to review and process technical data relating to the devices, equipment or site locations. You will have the ability to resolve L1/basic customer inquiries. You are expected to be open to working a variety of shifts. The start and end times may vary based on business and operational need. As Associate, Workforce Planning you will require strong detail orientation, problem-solving and analytical skills.
This is a contract role until April 21, 2025.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-Secondary Education
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Customer relationship management skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Technical competencies (e.g., office management practices and procedures)
- Intermediate computer skills including Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. CRM Dynamics, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word)

Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain TSSA Customer account records and relationships
- Support customers with general inquiries related to application submissions, inspection scheduling and prerequisite documents
- Schedule Inspectors and optimize resources to ensure workload balance
- Monitor inspector’s workload on a proactive basis and communicate capacity requirements to programs
- Communicate with inspectors, contractors, property managers, owners and operators, general public, Municipalities etc, on a daily basis
- Resolve scheduling conflicts in a timely manner
- Validate internal and external customer requests, applications, and prerequisite documentation (Initiate inspection work orders for TSSA Operations)
- Deliver periodic workload reports and escalate workload or lead time issues for resolution
- The start and end times may vary based on business and operational need
