Position Summary: This position supports the mission and work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization. The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Association Director of Community and Mobile Health. This role is pivotal in driving our mission to strengthen community health through innovative and accessible mobile health services. This role will lead the development and creation of a robust schedule for mobile community health programs and services throughout Chester County. They will oversee the operation of our mobile health unit (Fit Truk), implementing and executing all outreach efforts. In addition, the Director will oversee the YMCA of Greater Brandywine’s Evidence-Based Health Intervention (EBHI) programs. The role involves managing these programs with a focus on high-quality service delivery, community impact, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in program development, and a passion for serving diverse and underserved communities. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and a commitment to fostering a culture of health and well-being within the communities we serve. Considerable travel throughout the YMCA of Greater Brandywine service area is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Must possess and maintain an accredited NCCA personal training certification or obtain it within six months of hire.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of community health and/or health and wellness experience required.
  • Possess interdisciplinary knowledge and understanding of core principles and best practices within healthy living programming and design.
  • Must have a proven history of engaging communities of color and individuals and communities that have been socially and economically marginalized.
  • The individual must have a deep awareness of and comfort engaging on issues such as structural racism, unconscious bias, and explicit bias.
  • Demonstrated work experience working with both child and adult populations in diverse groups from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • HIPAA Compliance certification required.
  • Previous experience with YMCA Health and Wellness programs preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with YMCA EBHI Healthy Living Programs preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, public health or social services preferred but not required.
  • Budgeting experience required.
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Able to travel throughout the YMCA of Greater Brandywine service area is required.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Promote the YMCA’s mission and values, fostering a culture of health, inclusivity, and social responsibility.
  • Implement and monitor program outcomes, using data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other YMCA branches and departments to integrate mobile health services with existing programs and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Assure compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Ensure that program and YGBW policies and standard operating procedures are met, and safety procedures are followed.
  • Provide data, rosters, schedules, and reports as required for assigned programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
