Salary: £45,000 - £52,000k dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have a fantastic opportunity for Assistant Commercial Manager.
Our teams are set up to work flexibly, this is a work from home role, with currently 1 day a month or more between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
THE SKILLS
Demonstrable relevant experience in a procurement, commercial or contract management role with demonstrable responsibility and experience.
The post holder should be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or a student member working towards the professional qualification or be able to demonstrate alternative qualifications, education and experience relevant to the role.
Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with experience in working with and advising Senior Management and supporting stakeholders of varying levels of seniority.
Experience of developing supply chain procurement strategies for Projects
Sound understanding of contract and commercial law and sound understanding of contractual terms and conditions, ideally with the ability to confidently lead on the negotiation of Commercial particulars and Contract Terms.
Experience in Bid Process Management including supplier sourcing, documentation, evaluation and selection and managing the tendering and award of contracts for high value multidiscipline contracts.
Experience in negotiating high value contracts and drive complex commercial negotiations to conclusion.
Proven experience working with cross functional teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Our London location is changing, Sizewell C Limited will be moving offices from 90 Whitfield Street, W1T 4EZ to 25 Copthall Avenue, EC2R 7BP.
25 Copthall Avenue is a modern building situated just a short walk from Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations. Sizewell C will occupy the whole of the 4th floor. We are targeting a move in February 2025.
This role will be contractually based at 25, Copthall Avenue. However, depending on the date of the move there may be a period that you will be required to work temporarily from our existing office at 90 Whitfield Street.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Commercial Manager, you will work closely with project teams to manage commercial contracts, ensuring value for money, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting procurement activities, contract management, and supplier relationships while contributing to the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project.
