ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under stress, interruptions, and tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to operate and manipulate a keyboard.
  • Must be able to move from building to building, with limited travel.
  • Light physical work may be required.
  • Limited to moderate travel, including overnight, will be required.

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The ATDM Industry Engagement Coordinator is responsible for recruiting companies in the Submarine Industrial Base/Defense Industrial Base (SIB/DIB) to be a participating employer with the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program. Company participation is defined by sending candidates (incumbent workers or conditional hires) for training and/or hiring career-seeking trainees from the program. The person in this position is also responsible for maintaining industry relationships via outreach and engagement efforts. An ideal candidate must possess a background in the manufacturing sector and be able to work independently, as well as work effectively in a team-oriented environment. The Industry Engagement Coordinator is responsible for serving as a liaison between the program and current and prospective company participants as directed by the ATDM Manager of Industry Engagement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute the Industry Engagement strategy to source candidates from SIB/DIB companies for the ATDM program.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with defense manufacturing employers.
  • Provide consistent customer service and outreach to prospective employers.
  • Distribute Employer Feedback surveys and report data.
  • Explain ATDM training programs and assist with the admissions process.
  • Facilitate tours of ATDM training labs and IALR campus.
  • Maintain and track data for Industry Engagement efforts.
  • Coordinate multiple project schedules with internal and external resources.
  • Collaborate with the ATDM Career Services team on workforce demand.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including industry executives, government entities, and educational partners.
  • Travel as needed for employer site visits, supplier conferences, and other Industry Engagement events.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities assigned.
