ATE POLICY COORDINATOR - TORONTO, ONTARIO

ARAG Legal Solutions Inc., part of the ARAG Group, is the global leader in legal expense insurance operating in 19 countries offering an innovative and comprehensive range of legal expense products and services for brokers, underwriting agents and insurers across Canada.
Reporting into the ATE (After the Event) Manager, the ATE Policy Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and contributing to the management of the overall life-cycle of an ATE Insurance Policy. The position will liaise with cross-functional internal departments to improve the entire customer experience. The successful candidate will have the eagerness to grow with a business and contribute to the overall success of the department through various launches.

What will you do?

  • Administrative support for the ATE department, including policy issuance, data entry, financial reporting and management in proprietary systems.
  • Contribution to large scale data entry projects.
  • Review, oversight and handling of invoices, cheque requests and receipts, including appropriate approvals, coding and distribution.
  • Report preparation for external partners.
  • Contribution to the launch of a web-based platform.
  • Professional management of queries, and other communications as received via ATE Inbox.
  • Maintain prompt, professional, courteous and clear communications with Broker Partners and Law Firms and with internal Stakeholders.
  • Act independently or in support of account managers as a front-line point of contact for brokers, lawyers and law firms regarding ATE and the coverage offered.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with all internal stakeholders.
  • Service-oriented approach and timely response to inquiries and correspondence regarding ATE, including involving the ATE Manager as needed.
  • Ensure critical updates are provided to the ATE Manager and the ATE department where applicable.

Skills:

  • College diploma or University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of work experience as an Administrative Assistant, Legal Assistant or Law Clerk.
  • Ability to work equally well independently and in a team environment, and to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work with a high-level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with current Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications including Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • Ability to shift priorities with minimal to no notice.
