Description:
REQUIREMENTS:
- CompEx certification is essential.
- Proven experience in the water industry, with a focus on engineering works in hazardous areas.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, particularly in environments requiring CompEx certification.
- Strong knowledge of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards and their application in engineering projects, with a particular focus on hazardous environments.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects within set timelines and budgets.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, especially in relation to hazardous areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of CompEx-certified electricians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Coordinate and oversee project delivery works in the water industry, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects in hazardous environments.
- Ensure compliance with CompEx, safety regulations, health and environmental standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, specifications, and customer expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, particularly in hazardous areas, to assess progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor project budgets.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, resolving technical challenges and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices, and optimising operational efficiency
