JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS
Seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:
- You will administer active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and modality treatments such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, ultraviolet, infrared and hot/cold packs
You will administer traction to relieve neck and back pain
You will instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation/ambulation, transfer, and daily living activities
You will observe and report patients’ response and progress to treatments to the Physical Therapist
You will fit patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and train patients in use and care
What Qualifications you will need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field is required
1 year of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer is highly preferred
Active and unrevoked certification from the National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA) is required
