Job Description:

The Athletics Marketing Assistant will assist the Athletics Marketing Department in executing a variety of game day tasks surrounding the experience for both spectators and players. Major tasks include:

  • Assist with specific game day preparation
  • Coordinate and execute in-game promotions (selecting contestants, bringing them on field/court/etc.)
  • Set up and take down equipment
  • Interact with fans in a friendly manner
  • Be knowledgeable about the event taking place
  • Assist with handling Bruno, the mascot, when necessary

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn the basic rules of sporting events
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Weekday afternoon/evening & weekend availability
  • A team-oriented mindset
  • A desire to learn
