We’re looking for a highly motivated and skilled Atlassian Administrator to join our IT team in Montreal. As the steward of our Atlassian ecosystem, you will play a critical role in optimizing our use of Jira, Confluence, and related tools to enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and drive efficiency across the organization. You will be responsible for maintaining the health and security of our Atlassian instances, while also working closely with various teams to understand their needs and tailor solutions to improve their workflows.
What you’ll be doing:
System Administration:
- Optimize performance of Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian tools.
- Manage user accounts and permissions (SOX compliance).
- Monitor system health and resolve performance issues.
Customization:
- Design and implement tailored workflows in Jira.
- Create custom fields and screens to enhance user experience.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation.
User Support:
- Develop and deliver training programs for effective tool usage.
- Provide timely support for user inquiries and technical issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and knowledge bases.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze and improve existing workflows for efficiency.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities within Jira.
- Collaborate with teams to address specific needs and challenges.
Governance:
- Implement security measures to ensure data protection and compliance (SOX).
- Optimize license utilization for cost-effectiveness.
- Establish and enforce change management procedures.
Strategic Planning:
- Conduct needs assessments to align tools with business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create a strategic roadmap for Atlassian adoption.
- Manage relationships with Atlassian and third-party vendors for optimal support.
What you need to bring:
- Proven experience as an Atlassian Administrator, with strong expertise in Jira and Confluence administration.
- Deep understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, custom fields, and add-ons.
- Experience in configuring and managing Confluence spaces, templates, and permissions.
- Strong understanding of user management, access controls, and data security best practices.
- Experience in scripting for automation within the Atlassian ecosystem.
- Advanced hands-on experience in Service Desk technology and ITIL/ITSM
- Experience with Google Workspace, JAMF Mobile Device Management (MDM), OneLogin Identity and Access Management (IAM), helpdesk ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA), and other applicable software services
- Experience supporting large environments of Macbooks and Windows users with an ability to troubleshoot issues patiently
- Programming experience with low-code / no-code environments
- Experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining various technology components to meet business requirements.
