Under the general direction of the Chief Counsel and the Assistant Chief Counsels, the Attorney will perform a range of duties in connection with legal issues raised by the Department’s programs, focusing primarily on matters regulated by the Department’s Division of Geologic Energy Management (CalGEM).

Working Conditions
This position is located in Downtown Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must reside in California and be able to satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. The hybrid telework schedule will allow for up to three days of remote work per week depending on department needs.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
