Description:
Duties/Pligte
The Stellenbosch University Law Clinic seeks to appoint an admitted attorney. The incumbent will be required to perform the work typically performed by a law clinician, which includes:
- Providing legal services, including consulting, researching, drafting and litigating.
- Supervising and mentoring candidate legal practitioners and students.
- Providing legal education and training to candidate legal practitioners, students and to members of the community, including the poor and marginalised.
- Managing relationships with Clinic stakeholders.
- Conducting administration relating to all of the above activities.
Die Universiteit Stellenbosch Regskliniek beoog om ’n toegelate prokureur aan te stel. Daar sal van die posbekleër vereis word om die werk wat gewoonlik deur ’n regsklinikus uitgevoer word, te verrig. Dit sluit die volgende in:
- Voorsien regsdienste, met inbegrip van konsultasies, navorsing, opstelwerk en litigasie.
- Toesighouding en mentorskap van kandidaat regspraktisyns en studente.
- Voorsien regsonderrig en opleiding aan kandidaat regspraktisyns, studente en lede van die gemeenskap, insluitend hulpbehoewendes.
- Bestuur verhoudings met Kliniek belanghebbendes.
- Behartig administrasie rakende al die bogenoemde aktiwiteite.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Admitted attorney.
- At least three years’ experience in family law, including experience in children’s rights matters.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Computer literate.
- The ability to work under pressure and independently.
- Must be diligent and hardworking.
- Must be proactive and innovative.
- Sound interpersonal relations.
- Competent written and verbal communicator.
- The ability to function effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Toegelate prokureur.
- Minstens drie jaar se ervaring in familiereg, insluitend ervaring in kinderreg aangeleenthede.
- ’n Geldige rybewys.
- Rekenaarvaardig.
