Description:
We are seeking an Attorney/Lawyer to join our professional services team North of Boston. The selected candidate will be responsible for representing clients in immigration court cases and other family immigration matters, demonstrating strong advocacy, legal research, and writing skills. This role requires a collaborative team player who can deliver high-quality legal services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court cases before EOIR, BIA, USCIS, and NVC, handling cases related to family immigration, removal defense, asylum, and other immigration-related matters.
- Prepare and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents, ensuring timely submission to the appropriate government agencies.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
- Maintain detailed client files and case management systems.
- Conduct client interviews and consultations, regularly updating clients on case statuses and addressing their concerns and questions related to immigration laws and processes.
- Collaborate closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and other staff members to ensure efficient case management and client service.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices, assisting in the training and mentoring of junior staff members.
- Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and policies, attending relevant training, workshops, and conferences to enhance legal skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, handling confidential information and materials responsibly.
- Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Must be admitted to the State Bar and in good standing
- Proven experience in Immigration Law and Employment-Based Immigration
- Strong skills in handling Nonimmigrant and Non-Immigrant cases
- Experience in Asylum and Political Asylum case management
- Excellent ability to maintain and enhance Client Relations
- Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents such as Briefs and Motions
- Must demonstrate outstanding case management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High levels of professional ethics and integrity
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
- Must be able to handle high workloads and meet tight deadlines.
