A dynamic law firm is seeking an experienced Discovery Motion Writer with 4+ years of civil litigation experience to assist in a high-stakes insurance coverage lawsuit. The firm is representing an insurance policyholder defending against a bad faith claim. The role will focus on written discovery and discovery disputes, along with handling law and motion practice on the discovery side of the case. Candidates must have strong experience in researching and drafting motions to compel and conducting legal research to support litigation strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

4+ years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on discovery motion practice.
Proven experience in writing motions to compel and handling discovery disputes.
Strong background in written discovery and legal research.
Active California Bar membership is required (but can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.).
Experience in insurance coverage litigation is preferred, but not required.
This is a temporary position for approximately one month, with the opportunity to work up to 30-40 hours per week on a remote basis.
