About the Role:
The Attorney Support Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Attorney Support team. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of secretarial duties of a confidential nature for attorneys and/or managers while maintaining positive contact with clients, attorneys, and staff at all times, while providing comprehensive secretarial support for attorneys, requiring knowledge of the subject matter relevant to the attorney practice area. This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Other key responsibilities include:
- Working for the Vice Chair of Energy & Infrastructure group, two partners and other Attorney allocation as part of Finance practice
- Managing the billing process to produce drafts and revisions, ensuring the submission of client billings and liaising with Revenue Management
- Working in a global team environment with a real-time work ticketing system (ServiceNow)
- Daily time entry, calendaring and scheduling, managing/editing documents, and travel arrangements
- Proactively learning internal systems and processes to find innovative solutions to problems and requests
- Preserving the confidentiality of ours and our clients’ protected information
- Generating, editing, and posting client invoices
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Display professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, vendors, and staff throughout the firm
- Take initiative to work both independently and in a team environment with a customer service focus
- Can multi-task and adapt to continuously evolving technology platforms
And have:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment
- Knowledge of Chrome River, Outlook, 3E, Cisco Phone, Intapp (DTE), InterAction, Event Management System (EMS), and specific technology as assigned
- Knowledge and proficiency in PC applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
