Description:
Ray Quinney & Nebeker, a large and respected Salt Lake City law firm, is looking for two attorneys, a potential shareholder with 8 to 15 years of experience and an associate attorney with 0 to 7 years of experience, to join its rapidly growing Tax, Estate and Business Team.
Qualified applicants must have excellent academic credentials, and demonstrate a high degree of ethics, professionalism, good judgment, and a solid work ethic. Candidates must be a member of the Utah Bar, or if not currently a member of the Utah Bar, applicants must be a member of the bar of another state in the U.S. and be able to get licensed in Utah. LLM in Tax or accounting background preferred: CPA, MST, MAcc or MA.
Applicants with prior experience should have broad experience in drafting estate planning, business, and tax planning documents for closely held business owners including revocable trusts, wills, irrevocable trusts, business entities and filings. It is helpful for Applicants to have experience with charitable planning, asset transfers and asset titling, buy-sell and other agreements, as well as conducting primary review of client documents, such as income tax returns, organizational documents for entities, trusts, and life insurance policies.
Additionally, qualified applicants for the shareholder position must be able to give advice and guidance to clients, including those needing more advanced estate plans, including charitable planning, business succession planning, and income tax planning and integration of the same into the client’s overall estate plan and business plan. Applicants must have excellent organizational and research and writing skills and be able to independently manage client relationships and caseloads with minimal oversight.
