Description:

Band 2 - 30 hours per week - Permanent position
You will be responsible for providing clinic administration and reception support to patients attending Audiology Clinics; this will include receiving and greeting patients into clinic areas whilst recording the patient’s attendance on AUDITBASE system. Use of Lorenzo and ERS will be part of the daily workload and liasing with clinical staff in the department (inc ENT) and colleagues in other Admin departments in the Trust.
Greet all visitors attending the reception area, ascertain their requirements and respond to those requirements accordingly.
Clarify demographics for every patient contact face to face and via telephone and ensure systems are updated regularly.
Enter clinic attendances on AUDITBASE in the identified timescales and to the identified standards.
Book appointments, update attendances and action referrals.
Maintain the reception and waiting area to an orderly state at all times.
Answer telephone calls courteously and politely, direct enquiries appropriately and take messages as necessary. Liaise with other departments where appropriate.
Arrange and respond to transport/Interpreter requests as directed.
Maintain the confidentiality, safety and security of the reception area reporting any adverse matters to senior staff
