Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 *

The Audiovisual Manager is a fully onsite working manager position that leads, mentors, and provides guidance for a team of Analysts and Specialists in delivering concierge level audiovisual (AV) support for both internal users and Firm guests. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing AV and user-related assignments for the team as well as the oversight and management of both internal and external AV resources. The Audiovisual Manager has superior understanding and hands-on skills with AV related applications, platforms, hardware, and tools. The Audiovisual Manager provides a consultative approach to all AV requests from attorneys and professionals by gathering specific meeting requirements to assess and recommend the best setup for their AV needs.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Be the Firm’s onsite and hands-on subject matter expert for all AV technology services and operations.
  • Provide timely and effective advice, information, and expert technical interpretation on complex AV support issues and matters.
  • Provide a consultative approach to AV requests from attorneys and professionals: 1) gather specific requirements (what is the event, who will host or run the event, how will people attend, etc.) 2) assess AV requirements for the request and 3) recommend the best setup for their AV needs.
  • Coordinate AV needs for all meetings across multiple offices (Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, D. C.) and at outside events.
  • Effectively assist and respond to users who might have limited AV knowledge or skills.
  • Hire, train, manage, mentor, evaluate and performance manage a team of AV Specialists.
  • Be responsible for the AV budget from creation to expenditure and provide variance reports as necessary.
  • Provide and manage maintenance for the AV equipment to keep them at the highest of industry standards, while meeting SLAs.
  • Determine additional and/or different equipment, services, and configurations that might be necessary to accommodate the needs of a meeting.
  • Manage all aspects of AV projects.
  • Perform setups and hand-offs of AV enabled meetings to users and handle troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Ensure that AV activities are recorded in the case tracking and management system.
  • Perform trend analysis and provides reporting to peer IT groups to support the development of robust solutions for the Firm’s IT needs.
  • Monitor and review AV case metrics and proactively make recommendations for issue resolution or resource needs.
  • Communicate with vendors on the day-to-day issues related to troubleshooting, maintenance and repair, while completely managing all aspects of AV vendor relationships.
  • Collaborative with third-party vendors to provide AV services.
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed technical documentation of the Firm’s AV environment and inventory.
  • Recommend improvements for AV systems and processes that drive results.
  • Develop and provide training on AV technology at the Firm.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing and developing AV teams.
  • Experience with large (>300 users) enterprises.
  • Project management experience handling small to mid-sized projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments using judgment and initiative to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to perform well under the pressures of a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees, vendors, and various external entities, including clients and prospective clients of the Firm.
  • Ability to develop partnerships with all levels of the organization, external groups and vendors, and to influence as a trusted advisor.
