Who we are looking for:
The Alpha Platform Engineering team seeks a highly organized, energetic Officer to join our Engineering Operations team. If you are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about enhancing engineering SDLC practices, this position is ideal for you.
Why this role is important to us
The Audit and Compliance Support Officer will assist with audit and compliance tasks in the global Alpha Platform Engineering organization. Knowledge of SDLC and product development in Financial Services or similar regulated sectors is preferred. This role will work with various CRD departments and represent Engineering in enterprise-level regulatory programs.
As an Audit and Compliance Support Officer you will:
- Oversee and conduct tasks such as collecting evidence and crafting responses for both internal and external audit inquiries
- Create essential reports to ensure compliance and continuously review them to identify and correct potential issues proactively.
- Work alongside Business Risk Management, SaaS Ops, the corporate SDLC Office, and other relevant departments as needed.
What we value:
- Become proficient in SDLC policies, procedures, standards, and controls. Make sure all relevant documents and artifacts are continuously reviewed and updated.
- Gain a deep knowledge of CRD SDLC processes and help enforce the required controls to uphold policies and procedures
- Conduct random audits to verify the team’s adherence to the SDLC processes, offering feedback to address any failures or gaps.
Education and Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. or B.A degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a regulated industry preferably Finance.
- Strong organizational abilities, dedicated to meeting deadlines and expectations, while maintaining high standards of delivery.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with the confidence to interact effectively across all tiers of the organization
- Innovative problem-solver, tenacious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized
- Strong grasp of project management methods, tools, and practices
- Effective collaborator – cultivate robust working relationships with all levels of the engineering team
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence, ServiceNow, DevOps, and basic SQL query development is advantageous
