Description:

We are in search of an Audit Senior to join our Public Accounting client based in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is crucial to the CPA firm, as it involves handling customer applications, maintaining records, and resolving inquiries. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain precise customer credit records.
  • Identify issues during the audit process and determine the appropriate way to address these in the audited financial statements.
  • Update the internal control memo process with walk-throughs regularly and communicate any concerns with the team lead.
  • Identify and understand revenue streams, associated risks, and complete necessary testing.
  • Undertake testing over compliances such as eligibility, reporting, and other areas outside cash disbursements and receipts.
  • Efficiently perform beginning balance testing, while communicating necessary changes to the team lead.
  • Apply skills learned in one client setting to similar situations with other clients.
  • Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in public auditing
  • Proficient in accounting software systems
  • Demonstrated abilities in executing audit programs
  • Knowledge of CaseWare and CCH Sales Tax software is desirable
  • Familiarity with CobiT framework
  • Proven experience in performing accounting functions
  • Experience in handling audit engagements
  • Strong auditing skills
  • Able to develop and execute audit plans
  • Experience in a senior audit role is advantageous
  • Familiarity with annual external audit processes
  • Knowledge of financial and operational audits
  • Familiarity with non-profit fund accounting is beneficial
  • Must adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
