Job Description
We are now looking for a Surgical Partner to join our Alpine team.
The purpose of the role is to:
- Ensure sustainable adoption of our PRESERFLO® MicroShunt among those carefully selected users and promoters, by providing state-of-the-art surgical training and appropriate follow-up.
- Establish PRESERLFLO® MicroShunt as the surgical treatment of reference for all glaucoma surgeons.
- Actively drive the development of our Surgical Team & capabilities locally, but also enabling fruitful collaboration with the team in charge of our glaucoma Rx franchise.
As a Surgical Partner for Austria, the key responsibilities are:
- Identify and build up new accounts in surgical glaucoma.
- Conduct training with regards to glaucoma drainage surgery.
- Drive adoption in existing customers thanks to a close follow up as well as strong account plan.
- Identify sales-related trends and profitable business with existing customers and provide feedback on competitor activities in field.
- Interact with Santen sales management, marketing and customer service.
- Manage the territory financial budget and share valuable information by using reporting tools across the organization.
- Provide technical expertise for questions, issues or requirements related to product portfolio responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and the ABPI Code of Practice.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the Surgical Partner has:
- Degree in health or business related subject or equivalent qualification
- Scientific and/or medical degree such as optometrist, or other directly related specialties
- Minimum of five years’ industry sales experience
- Hospital sales and/or Key Account Management experience, previous industry sales experience and Operating room training / supporting the use of new technologies are preferred.
- Experience in Ophthalmology is desirable but not essential
- Clinical market experience and understanding of pharmaceutical industry and national healthcare policies, structures and processes
- Proven track record of sales excellence, commercial acumen and sales results orientation
- Ability to manage their own work and very strong self leadership skills
- Willingness and ability to travel on territory (Austria) approx. 60% of the working time (mainly national travel)
- Action oriented, energetic and results driven
- Proven sales, negotiation and networking skills
- Team player with experience of working in an international environment and matrix structure
- Excellent German and good English
