The Role:
As an Authorisations Administrator with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in liaising with insurers, self-funding patients and other third parties. The role will involve administration of patient records to ensure the finance team and wider business are always informed of progress and changes to forthcoming treatment. What You’ll Do:

  • Liaise with various insurance companies to ensure all treatment is authorised and verified for each patient
  • Liaise with patients regarding costs of treatment and payment terms
  • Maintain and update patient referral information for each centre
  • Liaise with the finance team in all aspects of patient accounts administration
  • Liaise with consultants, secretaries, radiographers, nursing staff and patient administration Staff regarding patient information and treatment plans
  • Prioritise workflow in accordance with patient category
  • Provide excellent communication and organisational skills at all times
  • Ensure all patients and insurers experience the highest levels of service at all times
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of patient details in line with the agreed processes within Genesis Care
  • Ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained in respect of personal information in accordance with Genesis Care policies and statutory legislation.
  • Be considerate and work respectfully with all team members, ensuring that clear communication and effective working relations are maintained
  • Follow departmental protocols, policies and procedures and operate in full compliance with all relevant guidelines
  • Undertake continual professional development (CPD) and company designated mandatory training
  • Adhere to company standards in respect of appearance, behaviour and demeanour at all times
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate for a post of this nature
