JOB TITLE: AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Colony Tire is currently seeking a full-time Automotive Service Technician to join our team! Our technicians work for competitive pay in a fast-paced environment. SUMMARY:
Employee will be required to perform tire and auto-related service as well as other duties as assigned by the manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Mechanical- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Operation and Control- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Operation Monitoring- watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

- Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment- Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, or passenger vehicles.

- Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

EDUCATION:
High school or equivalency, and/or related experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Follow established procedures to inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service.
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors.
- Document work performed accurately and according to company policy.
- Raise vehicles using hydraulic jacks and/or automotive lifts.
- Unbolt and re-bolt wheels from/to vehicles, using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools.
- Mount and dismount tires onto wheels.
- Identify and inflate tires correctly for the size and ply.
- Place wheels on balancing machines to determine counterweights required to balance wheels. Hammer required counterweights onto rims of wheels.
- Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects.
- Rotate tires to different positions on vehicles.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as but not limited to oil changes, and lubrications.
- Road test cars as directed by management.
- Pull vehicles in and out of shop safely.
