ABOUT US:
DMD & Associates Electrical Consultants Ltd. Is a consulting engineering firm providing a range of electrical, lighting, transportation and utility related engineering services to municipalities, government agencies, owners, developers and contractors. DMD undertakes projects as a sub-consultant to architectural and civil engineering firms or work under direct contract with the client. Our main regions of practice include Western Canada and the Western United States, although we frequently take our specialized services throughout North America. DMD also undertakes a broad range of electrical engineering services along with some specialized types of work.
Responsibilities:
- Completion of an AutoCAD course at a reputable post-secondary school
- 1 year Canadian working experience using AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD’s features, specifically working with model and paper space, managing xrefs and creating viewports to scale
- Strong computer skills and file management experience
- Ability to read Civil, Electrical, Architectural and Structural drawings
- Ability to switch between metric and imperial scales
- Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language
- Ability to follow instructions and have the willingness to learn
- Ability to multi-task and complete assignments on time
- Able to work both within a team, as well as with minimal supervision
- Ability to adapt to a changing workload
- Ability to pay attention to detail and produce high quality work
- Experience with Power Distribution or BC Hydro standards is considered an asset
