INTRODUCTION

Classic Granite & Marble has a 37,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art fabrication and production facility with an award-winning showroom located conveniently off I-288 and Midlothian Turnpike. We carry an inventory of over 8,000 slabs including 300 different colors. We handle all projects from beginning to end, which includes laser templating, CAD, fabrication, and installation. Our clients include both residential homeowners as well as building contractors.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Auto CAD Technician is fully responsible for creating accurate CAD documents and drawings based on templating measurements, notes, and standard use items (e.g., sinks). Timeliness of turnaround is critical and must meet or exceed the documented timeline for the Company.
Applicants must thrive working in a fast-paced environment and multitask successfully. Applicant must be well organized and detail-oriented. AutoCAD experience is preferred but not necessary. This is a full-time position. You will receive industry training.

Job requirements include:

• Fast-paced environment; must be able to multi-task and work on simultaneous projects.
• Be able to work quickly; be thorough and meticulous; create error-free drawings and files; minimize mistakes.
• Good problem-solving capability; analytical; have strong construction math skills.
• Able to learn proprietary Stone Profits software.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Spanish preferred but not required.
• Successfully communicate across all levels of the organization including Account Managers, Production Manager, and Robot Operators.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills; maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
• Job includes modifying and/or creating templates for fabrication of countertops, vanities, etc.
• Must accurately template sinks and create .dxf files for cutouts.
• Must be quick to comprehend stone fabrication concepts and willing to learn through “hands-on” experience
• Be able to work nights and/or weekends as required to meet the needs of a growing business.
