EDP Generation, a company within the EDP Group, aims to strengthen its Hydroelectric Asset Optimization and Management Department, which is tasked with planning and managing activities related to the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the hydroelectric power generation system, maximizing value creation while strictly adhering to legal obligations, operational rules, and corporate sustainability principles, ensuring the safety of people and facilities. To support us in this role, we are looking to hire for the Hydroelectric Maintenance Planning and Management Area - Automation and Control Systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Develop of control systems (SCADA, industrial automation systems, etc.) technical specifications for hydro assets in accordance with EDP Generation’s requirements and standards;
  • Develop of procurement documents, including RFPs and RFIs, for EDP Generation’s hydro projects;
  • Manage and supervise projects to ensure that control systems are designed, planned and implemented to meet the overall technical requirements;
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of control systems;
  • Coordinate and plan external and internal stakeholders (other departments, companies, contractors, etc.);
  • Provide up-to-date, data-based, project progress report to management;
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot issues and identify solutions in control systems;
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in control system design and implementation.
