Automation and Controls Engineer

SKILLS:

• Experience with PLC based automation systems. Ability to read Electrical schematic and blue prints.
• Must have the ability to independently manage commitments and time.
• Must be a team player and have good verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Fanuc controllers and Mitsubishi PLC is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years’ experience in Controls Software Programming in discrete Industrial manufacturing domain.
• Familiar with PLC hardware configuration with analog, digital, pulse signals with remote or local IO, CNC Machine & Robot Controllers, VFD etc.
• 2+ years’ experience interfacing with SCADA, MES, Data Historian systems.

• PLC Controller software programming (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Danfoss, Allen Bradley etc.)
• Experience with Machine Controls application like CNC, Robotic Automation cell, Conveyors and gantry equipment etc.
• Maintain and Manage Communication with network devices for MES and Smart Factory applications.
• Integration of PLC’s, motor drives, robots, safety devices and remote communication equipment.
• Hands on experience with new equipment set up, commissioning & troubleshooting experience.
• Tune automation process and systems at PLC level and/or integrated automation system for continuous improvement.
• Recommend latest technology and systems to improve efficiencies.
• Oversee and train less experienced team members and operators.
