Prestigious, global energy service company seeks an innovative Automation, Coding, and Endpoint Manager to drive transformational change, manage tech operations, and mentor teams. As the successful candidate, you will handle global infrastructure, automate solutions, and lead web development. Expertise in Azure, AWS, JavaScript, PowerShell, and endpoint management required.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Fundamental to the role is the ability to interact with global multi-national team and willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies whilst divesting already held knowledge and inspiring the wider team.

- Experience acting as technical design authority to ensure interoperability of new and merging technologies with existing infrastructure.
- Experienced in creating and completing low level documentation from high level designs and taking this through to completion.
- Reasonable experience in a large, enterprise environment with demonstratable experience in management, coaching and mentoring
- Reasonable directly managing, mentoring and coaching engineering teams.
- Proven, demonstratable and evidence-backed experience developing and scripting with PowerShell.
- Administration or architectural experience with Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, M365.
- Understanding of CI/CD development cycle, usage of distributed version control and collaboration tools, such as GitHub Enterprise.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform as well as pipeline tools like GitGub Actions.
- Containerization and orchestration within AWS leveraging your understanding and knowledge of Kubernetes, Amazon EKS and distributed engineering applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of voice technologies including SIP, VOIP, Session Border Controllers, Voice Gateways, Cisco Call Manager and Teams Direct Routing.
- Demonstratable practical experience with audio visual (A/V) technologies including Video Conferencing solutions, digital signage, A/V system architecture.

JOB PURPOSE
The position as Automation, Coding and Endpoint Manager [ACE] will, with the wider Infrastructure and Operations Build Team, challenge and innovate the company’s interest regarding operations and development of solutions across the supported technologies.
The position has responsibilities to maintain, advance and innovate across the service portfolio whilst working with the wider team to enhance, challenge and develop systems globally effecting transformational change across our organisation.
The highly technical position has responsibilities to lead and deliver the service our colleagues within the business deserve and expect. You will also be responsible for developing, mentoring and coaching our interns and graduates as well as managing a group of experienced developers and engineers across several domains. Encouraging and promoting innovation to develop a continual improving implementation approach at a deliverable pace, making sure that the priorities of stakeholders are delivered and support customer outcomes.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Articulating, championing and planning the frequent delivery of business value and enhanced experience.
- Driving the team’s activities to make sure platform integrity is maintained in line with technical roadmaps.
- Security first approach and hands-on approach to architecting, developing and deploying automation and serverless applications within Azure and AWS: Azure Functions, Automation Accounts, Logic Apps, Power Platform, APIs, Key Vaults, Microsoft Graph API, AWS Lamba, AWS EC2, AWS S3.
- Web application development in JavaScript and TypeScript using modern tools and technologies including: NodeJS, ReactJS, NextJSS, Tailwind CSS leveraging external APIs, application services, NoSQL and PostgreSQL databases and cloud storage utilities, VS Code.
- Managing daily operations within our client computing ‘Endpoint’ team which is responsible for OS and application distribution, patching, updates, builds and OSD images through SCCM and Intune:Apps 365, Autopilot, Azure VDI, Windows Server 2012-2022, Windows 10-11, Azure VDI, Active Directory.
- Seeing out opportunities to simplify the platform architecture, services and customer solutions whilst guarding against introducing new complexities.
