Description:
- Working with our controls team to design, develop and test PLC code in accordance with site coding standards.
- Work closely with project team to fine tune PLC code during testing & development phase of projects.
- Develop and test different aspect of automation systems including robotics, vision, PLC, HMI/SCADA, Motion Control etc.
- Responsible for completing controls aspects of projects within the schedule and budget.
- Assist in research and implementation of new control technologies.
- Co-ordinate and manage controls elements of build and debug of equipment.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role.
- The person should be qualified to an appropriate level of engineering and have a demonstrated track record in controls/PLC programming.
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley control systems including Servo motion control and FactoryTalk View ME/SE.
- Strong knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP & IO Link).
- Experience of robotics and vision systems is beneficial.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard and on schedule.
- Ability to work as part of a flexible, dynamic team, while taking responsibility for individual tasks.
- Understanding of GAMP 5 documentation standards is beneficial.
- Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings is beneficial.
- Experience with Ignition 8 SCADA package beneficial.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry beneficial.
