NeoDyne is a leading Irish and UK Industrial Automation and Electrical Engineering company. Our B2B customer base extends to over 300 companies with turnover predominantly from large multinationals in pharma, high-end food and beverage manufacturing and energy sectors. The company is 25 years old and employs over 180 talented automation, electrical and IT engineers across offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Waterford, and Chesterfield, UK.
We are currently seeking Automation Engineers (3+ years’ experience) to work on leading-edge automation projects, predominantly in the Energy, Life Science and Food & Beverage sectors. A background in GAMP 5 and experience with Siemens, Rockwell and AVEVA (Wonderware) products would be a distinct advantage.
This role is a full-time staff position, based out of our Dublin office, with an excellent salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities/ Duties

  • Working with a team of digital manufacturing/automation engineers managing and delivering projects to customer sites.
  • Developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment and following GAMP 5 guidelines.
  • Design and coding of industrial process automation solutions on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Production of I/O schedules
  • Preparation of Functional Design specifications
  • Design and configuration of user interface systems for industrial control (HMI/SCADA)
  • Design of control panels and creation of panel wiring schematics
  • Commissioning of control systems in the field: I/O and instrumentation testing, full testing and commissioning of automation systems
  • Fault finding of control systems (PLC, HMI/SCADA, Communication Networks etc.)
  • Providing design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated systems.
  • Working closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through the use of automation and data analytics technology.
  • Providing technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.
  • Mentoring and training of graduate/junior engineers.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Computer Science / Information Systems or related field.
  • 3 or more years’ automation engineering experience.
  • PLC Programming Experience: Siemens/ Allen-Bradley/ Schneider.
  • HMI / SCADA Experience: Siemens / Rockwell/ AVEVA / Schneider.
  • Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
  • Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
  • Experience working with validated Automation systems in the Pharmaceutical or Food Beverage manufacturing environment.
