Description:

Nisbets are currently looking for a motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a Avonmouth. Reporting directly to the Automation Engineering Manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the site is kept running as well as PPM activities. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company. The equipment on site comprises of Conveyors, AMR robots and Carton Machinery.
Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 3pm to 12 Midnight. You will also be part of a rota covering out of hours call outs

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably electrically bias.
  • Recognized qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, MS Elec, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including fault-finding and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and show a flexible attitude to covering weekends when required.
  • Strong communication skills and a safety-first approach.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance on machinery and equipment within the facility.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, ensuring timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high safety standards in accordance with company regulations.
  • Support the engineering team with proactive maintenance strategies to improve reliability and performance.
  • Participate in an on-call rota and potential weekend cover shifts (OT).
  • Work with operations teams to minimize impact on production and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and maintain the integrity of plant equipment.
  • Undertake risk assessments for tasks and ensure safe working practices are followed, in line with policies and procedures.
