Description:

Position: Engineer 1 – Automation
Location: Engineering Laboratory –
Victaulic World HQ in Easton, PA
Reports to: Supervisor, Engineering Laboratory

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5-10years experience
  • Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment
  • Experience with robotics, AI and machine learning
  • Experience with project management
  • Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Creative thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate well with other members of the development team
  • Ability to keep up with the latest technologies
  • A desire to continually upgrade technical knowledge
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, shop math, and use of precision instruments.

Responsibilities:

Working in an Engineering Research and Development Laboratory with the responsibility of testing and evaluating components and prototypes to maintain initiative and project timelines for new product or process introductions. This includes ensuring that all standards and requirements are met during the prototype development stage through the use of computers, computer controls, and data acquisition. Creative input is required frequently, as prototype specifications are often incomplete during early project development.
