Responsibilities:

THIS ROLE WILL FOCUS ON:

At the start of customer specific projects the D&E department will design and confirm the process matching the User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Function Design Specification (FDS), The Software/automation Engineer will together with the colleagues in D&E prepare and engineer the product accordingly.
The customer specific projects are primarily created by a package of automation industrial components, and in-house developed software

Software deliveries:

  • Based on the confirmed customer specification the responsibility of the software/automation engineer is to provide a well-documented and pre-tested codebase.
  • Assist production with start-up, adjustment and test including Pre-FAT
  • Prepare and execute upgrades and changes together with the service department at existing customers
  • The daily work will consist of applying verified and approved code, which requires that you are able to read, understand and use other people’s work and documentation.
  • A normal work day involves contact with many divisions, also across different regions.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Experience with object-oriented programming, .NET, Java or similar.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases.
  • Curious about learning industrial automation (PLC programming)
  • Practical experience with specifying, designing, testing and troubleshooting of machinery
  • Have a natural approach to a high documentation level
  • Good corporation skills, and can keep the detailing together with having the overview
  • Strong communication skills in English both verbal and in writing
  • Positive mindset and solution oriented.
