The Position will require presence in Denmark.

Your responsibilities

  • Automation Engineer focusing on implementation of new DeltaV systems to support expansion projects on site.
  • Support IT/Automation infrastructure installation and deployment
  • Verify system configuration of DeltaV procedural & physical model from system integrator for expansion projects in accordance with FDBD schedules and project milestones
  • Review and revise User, Functional, and Process Requirement Specifications for the Automation Systems being implemented
  • Troubleshoot DeltaV code and functionality for Validation and Production systems supporting Upstream and Downstream manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with our design/construction engineering partners in relation to automation design, ensuring that FDBD’s requirements are satisfactorily reflected in the design and that design deliverables are provided timely.
  • Collaborate with FDBD Instruments and Controls, Process Engineering, and CQV parts of the project to develop robust Automation solutions.
  • Participate in quality activities like Design Qualification and test activities.
  • Work as per defined procedures and ensure a validated state for automation systems.

Your qualifications

Professionally

  • B.Sc. degree minimum in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Automation, Controls, Computer, Chemical Engineering)
  • Minimum 3-5+ years’ experience within Automation Engineering
  • Language skills: English as a minimum (Danish is considered an advantage)

Preferred professional qualifications

  • Experience with DeltaV DCS
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Knowledge of batch processes, GMP, GAMP and the S88 standard
  • Experience and ability to work with short timelines to meet project schedule and milestones

About the area
Process Technology is a group of +100 employees that includes 5 departments: Automation, Process Engineering, Validation, Engineering Science and CAD services. We provide support to site-wide projects by offering our expertise as Automation, Process and Validation Engineers and we maintain overall responsibility for ensuring smooth daily operation including engineering technical leadership, and engineering technical support for all cell culture, purification, and pharmaceutical processing equipment.
About the department/teams
Reporting to the Manager of Automation, you will be part of a team of 15-18 highly skilled automation engineers and consultants, where the teams are split into following areas; MES team, DCS Upstream, DCS Downstream, Backbone/PI/Utility team, the DSM IT & Automation Expansion projects team, and another project team.
The teams will support new construction projects on site to expand the capabilities of the current facility in Hillerød. The role will also include support and integration into existing operations to understand the processes being transferred to the new facility expansions.
The teams also support ongoing operation/production.
