As Automation & FOF Lead, you will define the possible opportunity to automate the manufacturing/packing processes across Enterprise Markets (EM) mills to improve margin, product appearance & the responsiveness to the market while reducing the manual/repetitive work or the fatigue. You will work closely engineering & mill operations team across EM to capture these opportunities & build these solutions with the help of OEMs/ESP/packaging vendors. The solutions build is expected to be sustainable improving the overall carbon footprint as well as the materials usage to contribute towards the long-term vision of sustainability for Kimberly-Clark.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate the efforts to identify the possible automation opportunities in the EM manufacturing organization.
  • Work closely with teams across EM on the product changes/upgrades, packaging requirements & promotional solutions to identify the automation needs/opportunities in end-to-end manufacturing process which includes but not limited to material/Finished Goods (FG) handling, actual manufacturing process & packaging processes.
  • Build a solution base with expertise available inside the organization as well as from outside to deliver the results & keep benchmark the status across EM with external industries.
  • Develop Best Practices and transition them across EM in alignment with engineering stakeholders for EM markets.
  • Build a strong network of information across diverse set up in EM, to keep us on speed with changing needs in external environment.
  • Work with Safety team centrally & across EM markets to define & improve the overall manufacturing environment standards of our facilities through automation to reduce fatigue or repetitive or unsafe operations.
  • Support on asset platform design to improve the material handling processes & build in standards at right cost. Improving our ability to reapply solutions/BP across EM to standardize them.

Responsibilities:

In one of our manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience in which 10+ years in a manufacturing process improvement/ automation projects role in Personal Care assets.
  • Previously demonstrated ability to successfully lead the execution of a global, regional, or functional automation projects with proven business results.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, coach & coordinate a diverse group of team members across the Regions.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a dynamic and developing domain.
  • Experience and expertise in statistical methods for process design & optimization, digital systems exposure is preferred.
  • Bring the outside in, ensure competitive understanding, industry benchmarks and global internal capabilities.
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 20%, some of which is international.
  • Influencing communication, problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate at all levels of a diverse global organization are essential in this role.
  • Key stakeholders include, but not limited to, Senior Leadership, Research & Engineering and Region/Mill teams
