KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Diagnose automation faults and eliminate through various problem-solving techniques (8D, 5 Whys, Kaizen, Fishbone)
• Support Automation Test rigs to reduce and eliminate downtime working collaboratively alongside all stakeholders.
• Build, test and develop automation and electronic solutions to achieve increased volume throughput using innovative solutions.
• Provide support to Operations in support of Continuous Improvement projects.
• Work alongside all business sectors in design reviews and New Product Development (NPD) projects.
• Raise and manage Problem Reports to enhance all automation related products.
• Investigate, verify and validate software releases and related issues to increase efficiency working alongside business specialists.
• Must have a full uk driving license and must be able to travel for UK and sister company meetings and opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• HND or equivalent in Automation / Electronic Engineering.
• Enhanced electronics theory.
• PCB technology, assembly and associated drawings.
• Skilled Solder and repair techniques.
• Embedded electronics assembly, test, calibration and programming capability.
• High level of fault finding on PCB’s and electronic components.
• Working knowledge of Teamcenter or other CAD packages.
• Teamcenter or equivalent.
• D365
• Maths and English (or equivalent).

The position is responsible for Automation Production support across all production automation aspects of the business and to drive capital expenditure projects through from concept to realization. You will be required to upkeep, troubleshoot, test, inspect and conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) and proactively maintain against business demands.
