Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a two (2) year technical degree or five (5) years full time industrial, commercial and/or military E/I work experience
  • Internal candidates must be a level A. E&I Journeyman
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills including SAP, MS Office Suite

Responsibilities:

The Automation Technician is dedicated and committed to continuous learning and self improvement, training, process improvement, maintenance excellence and the open sharing of information with others, to achieve best-in-class controls (and related) systems reliability and performance. The technician will be expected to participate in training both on the job, on the computer, and in a classroom environment to acquire the necessary skills and will be assigned to perform all the following tasks.

  • Daily automation support and control system server administration for the following systems.
  • Honeywell Experion DCS Systems
  • Rockwell PLC’s
  • FactoryTalkView
  • AC/DC Drives
  • Other system may be added to meet the needs of the business.
  • Process network training and support.
  • Shift and Area E/I maintenance support.
  • Operator and production personnel support.
  • Area maintenance downtime and startup support.
  • Capital projects installation and startup support.
  • Control system tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Help in the training of new hires, shift and area E/I.
  • Development and oversight of mill configuration standards.
  • Software upgrades to control systems to ensure all system are up to current vendor support levels.
  • Help in the development and implementation of current and future life cycle planning.
  • Initiate work requests into computer maintenance system (SAP) for any work that is identified.
  • Willingness to work in a team based cross-functional organization in all areas of the mill as assigned.

Compensation Data: Current classified rate with contractual increases consistent with the Labor Agreemen
