Description:
Williamson Automotive Group is currently seeking an Intermediate Automotive accounting clerk to join our team. Williamson Automotive has been a leading employer in the Uxbridge community for 78 years. We strive to provide a great team-based atmosphere and are actively involved in the community.
This is a permanent, full-time position, so we are hoping to find the right fit for our team, the role will be based out of our dealership located in Uxbridge, Ontario.
You will have a strong backing in accounting as well as excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the efficient processing and posting of vehicle sale and purchase transactions. Responsibilities:
- reconciliation and posting of new and pre-owned vehicle and dealer trade sales, and leases; record commissions including adjustments, flats, and bonuses and prepare and post monthly commissions
- reconcile monthly registered vehicle listing to sales posted
- post, reconcile, and remit all insurance and warranty payments
- ensure all vehicle, lease and program receivables are in good standing
- prepare and reconcile weekly inventory schedules
- review of charges of all policy and delivery accounts
- posting journal entries and daily EFT
- post vehicle, leasing and sales purchases
- prepare monthly floor plan and lease lines reconciliation
- perform daily reconciliation of delivery log and payout of floorplan
- perform posting of funding amounts
- perform daily reconciliation of the bank
- reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
- maintain organized accounts payable files and records
- assist in month-end closing activities
- assist with preparation of lease documents, insurance confirmations, PPSA registrations, lease funding, vehicle licensing and pre-authorized payment administration and input
- assist with customer enquiries
- Assist with credit enquiries
- perform other duties as required/requested by management
