COMPANY & POSITION OVERVIEW:
Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. The company’s core competencies include the development and manufacture of complex mechanisms and body hardware, suspension systems and body structural components as well as the design, engineering and development of niche vehicles.
Multimatic is currently expanding our Marketing and Communications team with an Automotive CGI Artist position to produce creative and compelling commercial-grade visuals for a variety of unique projects. As a CGI artist, you will take an active role in supporting diverse projects with rendered images and/or video, such unique vehicles, innovative automotive technologies, facility interiors/exteriors and animating complex mechanisms. Working out of the Multimatic Corporate Communications office, you will be collaborating with a talented team specialized in CGI, graphic design, website development, video production, technical writing and Marketing Communications as a whole.
Submissions will not be considered without a portfolio that demonstrates strong automotive or indirectly related CGI experience and skills. Examples of your work can be submitted in PDF format via this website, or as a link to an online portfolio. Automotive interest and or experience is a strong benefit.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A college or university diploma / degree or equivalent experience with focus on CGI, post-production and animation
- Knowledge and experience using rendering software such as Keyshot, VRED and/or Unreal Engine and post-production software such as Photoshop, and/or Lightroom
- Experience with 3D modelling of vehicles and automotive components with software such as CATIA, NX, SOLIDWORKS, 3ds Max or Blender is an asset
- Work experience within the automotive sector and/or mechanical/engineering aptitude is an asset
- Strong creative and visual skills
- Experience in photography, videography, or graphic design would be an asset
- The ability to work both independently and cooperatively while balancing multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Attention to detail, ensuring outputs are lifelike and meet design requirements, meet all brand standards and approved by all necessary stakeholders before release
- Adhere to established processes and procedures to effectively manage projects
- You may be required to travel within Canada, the United States and Europe. A valid passport and willingness to travel is an asset
- Handle/maintain sensitive information and data in strict confidence and with discretion
