Job Description

  • Assess feasibility of new facilities and processes, development and management of projects for cost, quality and timing
  • Complete feasibility and cost evaluations for proposed new or modified facilities and processes define robust delivery plans with minimised disruption to operations.
  • Develop engineering solutions that are suited to the capabilities of appropriate facility and its associated process characteristics as directed.
  • Develop robust/lean layout solutions to support facility project delivery or process/operational efficiency improvements.
  • Co-ordinate the support and input of all relevant stakeholders to achieve acceptance, buy-off and successful handover of new or modified facilities.
  • Provide a Manufacturing Engineering support role to Plant personnel as a member of cross-functional teams for problem solving and continuous improvement activities with regard to Safety, Quality & Cost.
  • Lead & partake in multifunctional New Equipment Procurement Teams through all project phases ensuring company procurement procedures are met & adhered to.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A sound engineering and manufacturing background with previous experience in Facilities Development and Engineering.
  • Proven experience and understanding of process conveyor technologies.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent Engineering experience preferred.
  • Ability to control & Manage suppliers (both Material & Equipment).
  • Ability to control & manage project budgets.
  • Have a working knowledge of the application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
