Job Description
For this Mechanic position, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing refueling vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Your role will involve routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Prior experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, especially with diesel engines or fuel systems.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of automotive or heavy equipment mechanics.
- Certifications: ASE certification or equivalent preferred.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and hazardous material handling.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in diagnosing and repairing issues.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members.
- Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform inspections, diagnose issues, and repair engines, brakes, fuel systems, and hydraulics.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols, ensure vehicles meet standards, and handle hazardous materials correctly.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement and follow a schedule to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Emergency Response: Quickly address and repair any vehicle malfunctions during operations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of all work performed on vehicles.
- Tool & Equipment Management: Ensure all tools are properly maintained and stored.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and communicate repair status.
- Training & Development: Stay updated on the latest technologies and participate in ongoing training.
- Environmental Compliance: Adhere to regulations regarding the handling and disposal of fuel.
- Operational Support: Assist with refueling operations, ensuring vehicles are ready for use.
