The Automotive OEM Quality Account Manager is an important customer-facing, hands-on role within the Corporate Quality team which owns customer relationship and interfaces daily with our business groups and divisions. This position requires strong collaboration with Product & Test Engineering, Customer & Product Quality, Central Engineering, and Manufacturing & Operations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor/ Quality and Engineering, or relevant field.
• 10+ years in a comparable role for Automotive Quality, Product Quality, Customer Quality, Quality Management Systems, PCN Administration, Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis, Product & Test Engineering or Production Quality Control in the semiconductor industry. Multiple roles a plus.
• Strong technical problem solving and hands-on skills in quality tools and methodologies, especially Automotive, e.g. APQP, ZVEI, AEC, VDA, PPAP, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor device & package fail mechanisms/symptoms.
• Excellent ability to manage both internal and external dynamic environments and circumstances through influence and negotiation skills to respond to challenging information and situations.
• Candidate should have a solid quality / engineering background, along with good teamwork and communication skills across worldwide time zones (English required).
• Focal point for Automotive OEM customers for all Quality related items.
• Promote engagement with business units, manufacturing, and quality management.
• Support Design-in activities addressing product quality, e.g. quality data and reliability reports.
• Create a collaborative team environment, resolve issues to ensure goals are met, produce presentations for customers, ensure updates are provided on schedule and maintain accurate documentation in internal systems. Chief among these is supporting NPD with a key focus on communicating new product and technology reliability activities.
• Drive cross-functional global 8D teams to ensure expedient resolution of customer quality issues from initiation to closure.
• Execute fast, effective containment while facilitating use of structured problem-solving tools (Is/Is-Not, Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone, 5-why, 8D).
• Deploy customer best practices across organizational boundaries and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Represent all onsemi products in customer quality interactions.
