Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Office Manager for a well-established new car dealership in the greater Warwick, RI area. The successful candidate is an experienced Automotive Office Manager that is well versed in most areas of automotive accounting. Moreover, we are looking for an Office Manager that leads by example and promotes a positive work environment / culture for their team! Will be responsible to oversee a team of 3 in the accounting office. The Automotive Office Manager hired will be responsible for helping the Controller to oversee the financial operations of the dealership. Moreover, The Office Manager will be responsible to book/post deals, work with schedules, and other duties as needed. The Office Manager will NOT be responsible to submit the month end financial statement. 5 day work week and Monday - Friday position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, ideal but not mandatory
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Proficiency in accounting software, CDK experience a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Help to monitor and manage the dealership’s budget and expenses, including tracking and reconciling financial transactions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including inventory, sales, and financial records
- Coordinate with other departments and staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Manage the dealership’s team of accounting staff
- Deal posting, schedules, and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Oversee DMV / title clerks work
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Other duties as requested by the Controller
