Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Automotive Sales Representative is responsible for guiding customers through the vehicle purchasing process, from initial contact to final sale. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets while delivering a positive buying experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in automotive sales or a similar customer service/sales role is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close sales effectively.
- Knowledge of automotive features, financing options, and industry trends.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed and achieve sales targets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customers simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including walking the dealership lot and showroom.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage customers as they enter the dealership, establishing rapport and determining their vehicle needs and preferences.
- Present and demonstrate vehicles, highlighting features, specifications, and options that meet the customer’s requirements.
- Conduct test drives and answer any questions or concerns customers may have about the vehicles.
- Provide detailed information on financing options, warranties, and after-sales services.
- Negotiate pricing, trade-in values, and financing terms to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Prepare and process all necessary paperwork, including sales contracts, finance applications, and vehicle registration forms.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current inventory, promotions, and industry trends.
- Follow up with prospective and previous customers to maintain relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to overall dealership goals.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager and other team members to ensure a smooth sales process and excellent customer service.
- Attend regular sales meetings and training sessions to stay informed about new vehicles, sales techniques, and industry developments.
