Description:
Experienced Automotive Service Manager needed for reputable dealership in the greater Albany, GA area. Must have experience as a Service Manager at a new car dealership. The successful candidate is a great team builder and motivator of the service staff. It is important that the Service Manager hired is a positive person and someone who fosters employee growth as well as retention. In addition, we are looking for a Service Manager that cares about doing a good job and growing the business and building a long-term home/team for themselves. There is definitely room for growth in the service department for a motivated Service Manager that sees the big picture, delegates work properly, and keeps morale up among the team. The dealer has a ton of work available and business is good but they need a true leader who can make sure the department is running as efficiently as possible, as well as a leader who is proactive rather than reactive. It is important that the Service Manager hired also cares about providing a great customer experience and hitting monthly CSI objectives. Customers are the lifeline of the dealership so it is crucial the Service Manager lives and breaths customer service! This is a hands-on position the Service Manager hired will also be responsible to write up ROs as needed. Working knowledge of the parts department is a plus. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity with a stable organization where someone will have the ability to build out their team for long-term success and not be micromanager. Position reports directly to the Dealer Principal.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience as a Service Manager or similar role in the automotive industry
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of service technicians and service writers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
- Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques
- Familiarity with industry trends and technical advances in automotive service

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling and managing a team of service advisors and service technicians
- Monitor and control the flow of customer vehicles through the service department, ensuring timely completion of all work
- Review and approve all service orders and repair estimates, and ensure that all work is completed in accordance with dealership standards
- Monitor and maintain service department profitability, including setting and managing departmental budgets
- Manage warranty claims and recalls
- Ensure the Service Department is adequately staffed and all team members are actively engaged
- Ensure CSI is at or above region
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and ensure that all customer issues are resolved promptly and to their satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, and technical advances in automotive service, and ensure that all service technicians receive appropriate training and support
