Automotive Technician (Airbase)

Location: Tengah Airbase
Working hour: 8am to 5:45pm
Responsibilities :
1. Perform PM on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in accordance with maintenance checklist and ensure high quality workmanship.
2. Carry out any CM tasks and solve any problems encountered to ensure smooth operation in the maintenance works.
3. Effectively execute any other GSE Work Instructions.
4. Carry out the work activities to meet the quality standard and committed turn-around time (TAT).
5. Inspect and report any product / service problem and execute corrective action.
6. Provide feedback and suggestion to improve on work activities and procedures.

1. Note: Senior or Master Technician can be promoted to Workshop Supervisor to:

• Lead the team of Technicians (including the QCIs and storeman) in the performance of s/no 1-6 to ensures maintenance deadlines are met timely.
• Ensure the workshop facilities, such as housekeeping of shop floor, workshop equipment, tool stores, offices, etc. are in tip-top condition.
• Perform the roles of MCF Controller.
• To act as a customer call center and provide assistance to users on any technical and/or administrative related issues.
• To establish a scheduled plan for PM servicing and monitor them to achieve optimal serviceability to support operation.
• To track and manage the Estimated Time of Recovery (ETR) for PM and CM.
• To provide necessary updates on all equipment / vehicle’s serviceability and maintenance status (i.e., Key Performance Indicators) to the customer.
• To collate maintenance data for the purpose of reliability analysis and spares provisioning.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Nitec or equivalent qualification relevant to maintenance works.
2. At least 1 year of working experience in an automotive or other relevant maintenance related industry (Relevant NS experience also consider).
3. Minimum Class 3 Driving is preferred
