Description:
Subaru of Sarnia is expanding its shop to handle overwhelming demand and increase of new vehicle sales and customer volume. We are seeking a Service Technician to join our team. Be apart of the family run Glassford Auto Group which has been in business for over 55 years. We are known for service quality, top performance and customer satisfaction. The technician must apply excellent quality standards while exercising effective time utilization for maximum productivity.
Job Requirements:
- Level of Education: 310-S Certification or 4th year Apprentice
- Subaru factory training an asset but necessary
- Valid drivers’ licens

Responsibilities:
OTHER DUTIES:
- Reports to advisors to obtain designated daily work
- Reviews repair orders with advisors when job is assigned and when completed
- Road tests vehicles when required to confirm problems
- Exercises precaution to ensure cleanliness of customer vehicles; i.e., floor mats, fender covers, seat covers, etc.
- Submits hard copy of work order to Parts Department to obtain authorized parts
- Notifies advisor of additional work requiring authorization
- Completes all assigned work
- Returns each work order to advisor immediately upon job completion
- Returns any incomplete work orders to advisor at days end
- Follows manufacturer’s warranty policies and procedures in all warranty work
- Reviews all manufacturer service bulletins
- Ensures all special tools/equipment are/is maintained in proper working condition
- Reports all damaged or malfunctioning special tools or equipment to Service Manager
- Returns all special tools/equipment upon job completion or at days end
- Maintains clean personal appearance
- Maintains a clean neat workstation
- Attends all pre-posted department meetings
- Provides advisors with necessary parts and labour estimates
- Drives customers vehicles for road test purposes only
- Maintains Technicians standards
- Attends training seminars for upgrading as required
- Wears appropriate safety/protective gear at all times
- Ensures all safety policy and procedures in accordance with IAPA, WHIMS and company are strictly adhered to
- Performs other related duties
