TITLE CLERK QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (including listening, speaking).
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Team player with positive attitude.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook,)

  • General math skills.
  • Dealership accounting/automotive title experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

TITLE CLERK RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing of licensing through VITU for Oregon deals.
  • Review and ensure all required paperwork for titling/registration is included and complete for every deal.
  • Prepare and process all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled with accuracy, ensuring docs are completed and filled out with correct information.
  • Verify funds have been collected prior to submitting documents to DMV.
  • Follow-up with lenders on outstanding titles when needed.
  • Reviews accounting schedule daily to ensure all licensing stays in compliance and clear any outstanding issues.
  • Promptly handle any Missing Requirement Request from DMV.
  • Communicate with lenders regarding delays and title status.
  • Basic accounts payable and receivable tasks.
  • Communicate closely with internal teams with any title document related issues.
  • Stays abreast of State title regulations.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
